his is my second major test of the new Sora 2 AI on its launch day, October 1, 2025. I wanted to move from a massive, singular event to something more personal and widespread. The result is this “found footage” style short film.
What makes this one so effective is its use of everyday cameras—dashcams, parking garage security, doorbell cams. It turns an epic idea into something intensely personal and frightening. The AI’s ability to generate authentic, panicked human reactions is a game-changer for storytellers.
THE CONCEPT:
Without warning, every wheeled vehicle on the planet with a combustion engine or electric motor stops, then begins driving in reverse, perfectly retracing its previous journey.
MY FULL PROMPT: “A compilation of dashcam and security footage. A busy highway interchange becomes a terrifyingly orderly ballet of cars all driving backward. A parking garage empties itself in reverse. A driverless car backs out of a driveway and heads down the street. The chaos is not from crashing, but from the sheer, inexplicable purpose of every vehicle acting in unison.”
What prompt should I give Sora 2 next? I’m compiling the best ideas for my next video!
